YML Shortlisted for Campaign’s Digital Innovation Agency of the Year

Campaign US named YML a finalist for its Digital Innovation Agency of the Year award on Wednesday, marking the second consecutive year YML earned this recognition.

Coming off its best year in the agency's 12 year history in 2020, YML closed 2021 with another year of exceptional growth, highlighted by record new business and hiring. YML launched new digital product and design work for an array of Fortune 500 companies and hyper-growth startups, including Google, Polestar (Volvo), YETI, State Farm and California Pizza Kitchen to name a few.

The team also hired 206 people in 2021 (40% growth YoY, another record), bringing YML to 500+ employees globally.

"We see an undeniable connection between our record business growth and the talented team we're building," shared Ashish Toshniwal, YML's co-founder and CEO. "YML now extends into 22 states and many countries. We're incredibly proud to have built a global, remote team."

YML continues to actively invest in building diversity, equity and inclusion into its company ethos. The team is currently 46% women (5% growth YoY), 54% men, and 55% of employees identify as BIPOC (with 40% of all new hires in 2021 identified as BIPOC). Building a YML workforce that comes from different backgrounds, cultures, genders and races facilitates building better, more impactful products for a broader, global audience.

YML worked with Polestar, the Swedish electric vehicle company, to build and design a new, state-of-the-art web experience as impressive and exhilarating as the car itself. See the work.

For the last 12 years, YML has been breaking the mold for companies across the spectrum by building world-class digital products and experiences. In 2021 — as a mix of anxiety and elation ebbed and flowed throughout society and the world — YML focused on building the tools that supported families and communities, connecting them to the world’s essential services.

YML partnered closely with clients, most often with Chief Digital Officers, to solve enterprise scale problems, from tele-health to paying on the go to ecommerce, grocery shopping and more.

YML worked with YETI, the outdoor retailer, to create and help launch their new outdoor bags collection online. The product sold out in just 24 hours. See the work.

At the core of YML's work is an unwavering commitment to building products that export Silicon Valley to the world. For YML, Silicon Valley is not just a zip code, it’s a mindset rooted in velocity, experimentation and innovation.

That mindset contributed to 2021 being an incredibly impactful year for the agency.
