When Mercari went public in 2018, they raised $1.2 billion. The appeal of turning clutter into cash has led them to more than 50 million downloads in the U.S., with more than 350,000 new items being listed each day. They debuted their first Super Bowl commercial in the third quarter of the 2021 Super Bowl LV.
