An open-source framework for developing research applications, created by Apple. We were asked to make a suite of apps showcasing its potential to transform medical research at speed and scale.
-

-
93%Of participants who had never taken part in any kind of research before
-
1Published paper by JAMA Cardiology sharing critical findings of the MyHeart Counts study
Research, at speed & scale
By helping medical institutions generate quantitative data at a much lower cost, the tools we created revealed objective and precise medical insights — leading to discoveries at a pace and scale not experienced before.
“ResearchKit has enormous promise for leading the transformation of how we engage patients in research.”
Technology architecture
YML started by defining core components that could be leveraged while creating an architecture that is data driven and has a reusable application core. This framework enabled applications to wrap the application core, yet provide App-specific initialization, tasks, and dashboard components.
